At Ridge Concrete Coatings Plus, our meticulous six-step process guarantees a pristine, durable finish for your floors. From initial profiling to the final protective seal, we ensure quality workmanship that not only enhances the beauty but also the longevity of your space. Here’s what we do:
Step 1: Using custom diamond disk grinders, we profile the surface of the floor. Once the concrete is ground – exposing a fresh, and clean surface – it is evaluated for cracks and divots, which are filled with a fast-setting polyurea as needed. We use an industrial vacuum system to eliminate dust and debris as it is created. This reduces clean-up time and allows us to finish the floor in just one day, in most cases.

Step 3: After your floor has been professionally prepared, we will apply a seal layer of tinted polyaspartic to the floor. The material absorbs into the freshly ground concrete. This low VOC Polyaspartic can be used any time of year, both indoors and out.
Step 4: Once the seal coat becomes “tacky”, the installation of the base coat is then applied. Our team will cut in the edges, then use a larger 18″ roller to apply the base coat to achieve a uniform application.
Step 5: The base coat of the floor is then covered with a FULL BROADCAST layer of vinyl color chips to add texture and the “Wow Factor” to your garage floor. The floor is then scraped in 3 directions to remove excess chips and produce a non-slip surface.
Step 6: Once the base coat and color chips are laid down, we then apply a clear layer of high-solids Polyaspartic to seal the floor system for the lifetime of the floor. This proprietary blend of Polyaspartic is 4x stronger than an epoxy and is 100% UV stable so you will never have to worry about it yellowing.
